I am a 17 year old manful. I have had full driver's training and taken an eight hour driving class. I am also an A-B student. My progenitor's have Geico and we live in Charleston, SC. No one seems to know how much our insurance rate will increase if I am added as a driver (without a car). Basically, I can not get my approve because, supposedly, simply getting the driver's license (not permit, full license) will make a big deal of our rates go up. If this is true, how much will our rates increase?

Sep 16, 2007 by mr._693 | Posted in Insurance & Registration
can any one give me a bracket to get good auto insurance for as low as possible for a 16 yr old driver. i did not get in any accidents or have any tickets while i had my permit. i have capable grades (some ppl have told me that good grades help out), and good sat scores. i've tried geico and leftist and they were like 180 and 190 per month. can anyone tell me where they got cheep insurance or give me suggestions?
Since you have to be on your parents game plan until you turn 18 (or they have to be on yours) try Farmers since they will rate one person per car, and not the etire household. Signification, that if you add on a car that is liability only, you parents can be rated on the ones that are full coverage and it will cost you less. Dynamic is also pretty good. Bristol West is another company that is run by Farmers and Zurich and they are right too. Most Brokers go with Bristol West.

I have my driver free choice almost eight months ago in NH. Now I moved to Mas and I pay about $ 210 per month for car insurance. I want to know if I can find cheaper or this not too bad for a new driver. I own a 2000 ford Taurus since two months. What do you dream up guys?
the cheapest insurance i could find when i first started driving was nationwide but it was still fair over 200$/month. So it looks like your right in the ball deposit of it all for full coverage.

I thought maybe i would get some ideas from all of you's before I actually called my insurance enterprise to find out...
The perquisite may or may not increase depending on the company. Some offer forgiveness, with no increase. Ask your means if the company offers multi vehicle discounts, most do, this will give you discounts on all vehicles. If you own your shelter and the company writes homeowner insurance, put all policies with the same company

New Jersey drivers paid an run-of-the-mill of $1,103.53 per vehicle
in 2007, a drop of 4 percent, but the state still was one of
straight six with average bills above $1,000.
Though the market is clearly healthier than it was before
reforms were passed in 2003, New Jersey has hereditary costs

"There are certain costs built into New Jersey's
system that are always going to be there," he said,
including bountiful medical reimbursement rates, the high
cost of repairing vehicles here and the urban kind of the
state -- the most densely populated in the nation. "You
have to be careful when you say the rates are violent; well,
there are reasons."
Leitgeb, lawmakers and state officials said the communiqu
showed continuing progress after reforms passed in 2003
opened the retail to more competition. The changes included
allowing insurers to keep more of their profits and giving
them faster answers on requests for rates adjustments.
