Can I Start Insurance On A New Car With A New Insurance Provider Before The Current Policy Runs Out ?
Feb 09, 2009 by Pinsentry | Posted in Insurance & Registration
My known car insurance policy runs out at the end of the month and I will not be renewing with them. I am getting a new car approx 2 weeks before the expiry escort. Can i start the insurance with another company and 'overlap' the insurance ?
You CAN do that since you are changing anyway.
You might longing to notify your PRIOR insurance company once you have the NEW coverage in force - just to steer clear of any duplication of coverage and any "earned premium." If the assembly automatically renews and you don't inform them, they might try to collect for the time you had coverage in impel.
Just show them a copy of your NEW policy and they will cancel the old.

I have my driver credentials almost eight months ago in NH. Now I moved to Mas and I pay about $ 210 per month for car insurance. I want to know if I can find cheaper or this not too bad for a new driver. I own a 2000 ford Taurus since two months. What do you imagine guys?
the cheapest insurance i could find when i first started driving was nationwide but it was still right-minded over 200$/month. So it looks like your right in the ball car park of it all for full coverage.

I have a TN driver accredit. I have a couple of violations on it. I just moved to SC, and I am going to get a SC driver sanction. I am going to be buying car insurance soon. When they look up my record off of my new SC driver enable, will the violation/accident from my TN driver license show?
Yes. Different from the DMV records, insurance companies keep a complete record of all your past offenses, not decamp them after a certain amount of time. You will be asked about your TN violations when getting SC insurance, and the records will inclined to be checked.

Do You Purchase The New Car Or Car Insurance First?
Feb 24, 2008 by Sunkister28 | Posted in Personal Finance
I appetite to buy myself a new car. I have never done this before. My parents have always taken care of things and now I want to do this on my own. I want to put down a $15,000 down payment/legal tender and I have no credit. Will this be possible?
Do I look for insurance first? Or do I buy the car first?
Do you have insurance already? If so your coeval insurance is good for 14 to 30 days depending on the company by this I imply your coverage will cover you on your new vehicle without notifying the insurance company but you should notify them as in a minute as possible if you do not have any insurance it is likely the car dealership will sell you the car anyway but if you get into a accident your 15000 you put down perfectly went to waste so make sure you have some coverage. hope this helps and dint be put on ice until the last day of your grace period where your insurance after the fourth day will go down.
What Is The Proper Way To Repaint A Brand New Car? Insurance Question...?
Jul 17, 2007 by snizzay | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I recently had my car damaged in one of our Texas storms. It caused about $4000 in injury to the entire left side, hood, and both bumpers, and knocked out two windows. I principled got my car back from the "insurance suggested" body shop and I can still see where many of the rock marks were painted over. There are divets in the apply in a lot of spots, which is better than the metal that was showing before, but not how I want it. My question is, shouldn't they have utterly sanded down the areas of the car that needed to be repainted instead of just painting over the drunk nicks? The car is a 2006 Mustang that is practically brand new. Maybe I am falter, but shouldn't the insurance company be fixing the car to the PERFECT condition it was in before it was damaged?
sounds like a botched, cheapo job -- that's why you have insurance, so that it covers to fettle damages to your car. you should go back to the insurance and demand that your car be fixed properly. no professional paint job ends up looking like you described. end sequel should be like new. if insurance is difficult, call your state's insurance commission to complain and demand befitting service.

I'm planning on buying a new car in the next month or so because my old one is falling separately from. My car insurance that I have now is actually my mom 's and I wanted to get my own policy for the new car. Do I have to buy insurance before I buy the new car.
Separate from DW, I am not so sure you would get 30 days automatic insurance cover under your mothers rule - I would definitely check that out.
Once you buy the car you are liable for it as the owner though and should insure it, so the answer to your inconceivable is yes. How you get insurance depends on what your moms insurance company say.
Are you keeping the other vehicle? If you are then you are probably wealthy to need to insure this new car in your own name. This could be expensive as you have not been building your own no claims bonus up.
I grasp Direct Line have offered a discount based on named driver know-how (which is what you have) but I think you have to be insured with them to start with.
If your mom is not keeping the original car, why not just modify it over on the existing policy?
Incidentally, if you are the main driver, you should not insure in your moms name. Insurers call it fronting, it is scam and they could innvalidate your policy if you get caught!!
